Hypnotherapy Treatment in Bedford for Anxiety Fears and Stress - Greg Coyne D.Hyp. Adv. MIAPH Acc.

Anxiety is one for the most commonly presented problems that people bring to me. Its quite natural for one to feel fear when confronted with danger, or a life threatening or dangerous situation. But if you feel anxious over a long period of time over something for no apparent reason then this is not natural and the individual is suffering from an anxiety. This is often referred to as suffering from within by something that is outside of their control.

What is anxiety and how is it treated?

Symptoms of anxiety can manifest themselves in many ways and with many unpleasant side effects such as panic attacks, phobias, lack of confidence, and depression. But effects may not be just mental affected symptoms. It could manifest itself as physical pains such as migraines and headaches, rashes, and stomach and/or bowel problems such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome. By using Pure Hypno-Analysis we can discover the underlying cause of the problem – the root cause – and then remove the emotion or feelings attached to the problem. This removes the symptoms PERMANENTLY !

Testimonial From John L

"I very much recommend this. I went to Greg as a last resort because I was never sure what to expect, but i now wish I'd tried it first. I went through 12 sessions of Analytical Therapy for a number of different things, and I now feel able to take control of my life without fear or worry and can finally relax myself no matter what kind of day I have. I'm very grateful to Greg for his help and certainly wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone else. "

What are Phobias and how are they treated?

A phobia is a fear, an irrational fear, that even as time passes refuses to dissipate and go away. This time period could be as much as a lifetime if left untreated. These phobias take many forms and could be, for example, a fear of Spiders which is often deemed to be the one that people generally associate with when you mention the word “phobia". This is a specific phobia and if you think logically and reasonably how can a small harmless creature cause such fear and panic in some people?

Other phobias are more general such as a fear of heights, or social phobia such as fear of public speaking or blushing etc. The one thing that is certain whatever the phobia is that it affects your everyday life – and not for the better!

The list of Phobias is almost endless. If you can think of a problem there is undoubtedly a phobic name for it. There are hundreds of phobias from as we mentioned the fear of spiders ( Arachnophobia), to fear of being sick ( Emetophobia) through every letter of the alphabet. The list is endless and these phobias develop in response to any object or situation.

The symptoms of a phobia are virtually the same as for a panic attack – namely:

“The heart beats alarmingly quickly – like a palpitation, and the subject becomes vaguely aware of a number of bodily effects. Frequently the breathing rate increases rapidly as though the subject just wasn’t getting enough air. This is know as “air hunger”. There can be a cramped feeling across the lower part of the diaphragm and a tingling sensation, accompanied by either hot or cold flush in unexpected parts of the body – usually the extremities such as fingers and toes. All the feelings combine to somehow vaguely suggest to the subject the advent of unconsciousness, or fainting, and the person can appear almost rooted to the spot as though he had seen a ghost. The subject is usually dumbstruck and immobilised, he can neither run nor fight because it all comes from within and he is panic struck by what is taking place yet something, very vague, and very abstract does present itself to him only he cannot understand it – it is truly…….the unknown !"

So what is Stress and how is it treated?

We all hear and talk about stress in our lives these days – stress is the ultimate “buzz word”. Stress symptoms often mimic symptoms of other problems. You may think illness is to blame for that nagging headache, your frequent forgetfulness or your decreased productivity at work. But the common denominator may be stress. Indeed, stress symptoms can affect your body, your thoughts and feelings, and your behavior. Stress may be affecting your health, and you may not even realize it. Recognize common stress symptoms — then take steps to manage them.

Some people tend to take everything in stride while others get anxious at the first sign of trouble. Most people have stress responses that fall somewhere in the middle. When you feel confident, stress is far less likely to affect you (as much). You feel more resilient and more able to cope. If you feel cornered or unprepared, your stress level may rise.
